Female Circumcision, what's your take on it?

I've heard and seen some parents circumcised their female daughters alongside their males counterparts and I've been wondering why it should be so?
I know of one of our neighbours on same street in those days who had all their daughters mutilated in the name of circumcision and I've always used to
wondered how those girls now ladies will be feeling  with their  sexual organs (clitoris) being mutilated whenever i remembered them.

Female Genital Circumcision or Mutilation according to World Health Organisation(WHO) is defined as "all procedures that involve partial or total removal of the female genitalia ,or other injury to the female genital organs for non-medical reasons". Did you see that:INJURY TO THE GENITAL PART. I was awed when it was estimated that by WHO that 140 million women and girls around the world had experienced it including 101 million in Africa as it is being practiced mainly in 28 African countries. Waaaooooh. what do you have to say about this and I know that Christians practice the male  circumcision  in  accordance with Biblical injunctions. And my questions  are thus: Is circumcision also applicable to females? Is it adviseable? and What are its health effects on them?
We need to deliberate on the answers because of a 13-year -old girl that died  at a private clinic in Egypt while undergoing a circumcision operation: www.informationng.com. And this has once again highlighted that female genital mutilation continues to endanger the lives of our females.
We need to actively campaign against this inhuman act. Share your views !

To be continued.

Being happy in your relationship

How happy are you in your relationship? How fulfilled and contented are you? When last did you make your spouse or partner smile or has the spark gone with the wind? If yes ,what effort have you made to bring the joy, smiles, sunshine and laughter back into your affair?

HIM: when last did you take her out to sexy, cool and romantic spots for relaxation and hangouts? When last did you tell her how sweet and wonderful she looks? When last did you comment on her hairstyle, clothes, perfume and general outlook ? Have you ever kissed or hugged her openly in public? Take her to shoppings, give her suprise packages, encourage and support her in her career? Pray with her and tell her I love you? Women craves for attention each minute, endeavor to satisfy her even sexually.

HER:He is your Prince Charming, your pride and source of joy. When last did you brought a smile on his face? Or do you always nag and nag over everything?   When last did you prepared his favourite meal because the way to a man's heart and pocket is his stomach lol. Whenlast did you wash and iron his clothes out of love or are you the type  always insist on a laundry man doing it? How often and how well do you relate with his family especially his mum because men are much more closer to their mum than women? Or you don't care less? When last did you buy for him those beautiful wears or perfume you saw at the shopping mall without asking him for money? When last did you satisfy him sexually? Or you are now so familiar with him that sex doesn't really matter? It's now a boring and routine event.

Let's work towards making our relationship the best! Yea,it's possible to renew and rekindle the first spark of passion and love. The man/woman out there is envying your affair so do not even think of leaving your spouse for them. For real it's not a bed of roses, but you can make it to be if you work harder . We needs God's grace and love to make our relationship the  best on earth .

Nollywood Screen Goddess Omotola Talks About Her Time Magazine Honour

A real Diva

In April 2013, screen goddess Omotola Jalade Ekeinde (pictured above with Justin Timberlake) was honored as one of Time Magazine 100 Most Influential People in the World. According to Omotola, it’s an achievement that will forever linger in her memory. She tells Encomium magazine:“It’s a great honour. Sometimes you really don’t know your worth and people around you may just take you for granted. I was selected for a number of reasons. From what I was told, they watch a lot of my movies up there. The person who wrote my profile is actually the movie critic for Time magazine. He had been introduced to some of my movies.

He also got to know about my other activities, including human rights activism and others. They also conducted opinion polls from those that follow what’s going on in Nollywood. I think the opinion of the organisers is based on this.

I wasn’t the only person picked from Africa. There was another guy from Egypt but he’s white and lives in the US. He is a blogger. I was the only black African honoured and out of the 100 honorees, they only picked 20 of our portraits displayed in the Time Work of Fame, and my picture was there. Not only that, it was given the pride of place.

One thing I noticed was that from the moment I stepped onto the red carpet, I was treated like a queen. I was on one of the best tables, sitting with US Vice President, Joe Biden and others. I think it was a good moment for Africa. It was one of the few moments I felt like Africa has arrived.
