OUR ROLES IN THE SOCIETY IN SHAPING THE LIFE'S OF OUR CHILDREN FOR THE FUTURE!

As we mark our National Children's Day Celebration today being May 27th,2013,it is highly  imperative that we reflect on the future of this country and think about our children as members of a fast changing global space.

While concerning ourselves with preparing a very bright future for them in the area of a good qualitative education and future financial stability,we should also think about the conditions that shape their character and personality. Character and Personality defines a man!

It has been widely accepted that the major causes of today's challenges have a moral genesis.

Our children's future and their place in the society  lies in the way we prepares their moral fiber. Preparing our children for the challenges ahead should go beyond preparing a good life for them in the way of educating and investing for them but working on their values as well.
As we marks our children's day today bring 27th May,2013,it is highly imperative that we reflect on the future of this country and think about our children as members of a fast changing global space.     '
What have we done to encourage hardwork and the universal values of truth and equality among our children? Have we made our  children to be aware of the universal differences in humanity, those of religion,race and ideological thinking? What are we as parents done to impact tolerance and God fearing attitudes into our children? Have we done enough in educating and moulding them to accept challenges,work on it and succesfully coming out from them victorious and shining brighter?

Justice and fairness is the major challenge facing our society and if onlly we can expose our children,the future generations to this principles,steering ahead of those challenges will become a reality.

Due to the media exposure of our children,they are now beginning to accept actions as standards for a means to an end!

Our children are looking up to us for direction and guidance,and whatever they see us do is acceptable to them afterall we are their parents and will never teach them wrong things! So we should mind our actions,words and the attitude we exhibit infront of them as they are learning from us.

Teaching and educating our children their origin,languages,cultural heritage and practices,food and habits and the norms of our society will also go in a long way to influence the lives of our children positively,making them to be proud of their roots and where they are coming from no matter where they are ! We are africans but Nigerians
First and should let our children know so too.

In a society challenged by religious intolerance, political differences and extreme ethnic consciousness, it is important to help our children appreciate diversity as an important aspect for the advancement of a civilized society.

Our children should be taught that greed punctuated with corruption is evil and should be done away with. Making our children realise that stealing,arm robbery,terrorism,prostitution,taking of hard drugs like cocaine and indian hemp,and dealing in them is bad will also shape their mindset and opinions about life for a better tommorow! Making positive headlines in the newspapers is the best for them rather than an evil undertaking that threatens the welfare of the citizenry.

Charity they say begins at home. So it all starts at homes because our actions,what we do or say It goes a long way to influence our future generation. So let us all be patriotic enough to help cultivate the rught attitude in their their lives in this way.

It is your choice to shape your child to become the greatest swindler of public funds or that statesman who will forever be remembered in our history.

If we really love our children, let's think about their future in a morally corrupted society and reflect on whether we are doing enough to help them steer ahead of those challenges.
